By far my favourite bar in Newy. The bartenders and DJ's are lovely and always bring the vibe. The cocktails slap and the guards are all very respectful and helpful. Anytime people get drunk and aggressive; the guards in the venue always seem to handle it in a quick and safe manner which is huge as it's a small venue (ngl i have a massive crush on the redhead one). I'm a safety girl so feeling safe when I go out and let loose is a big deal for me. Always my go to on a Sunday. Can't recommend them enough! PS, order the bacon tater tots. They are chefs kiss.

After a bad start to my night at a different local joint (name not included) I was reluctant to try and salvage anything. How wrong I was! My friends and I (2 blokes and 4 lasses) were ushered in by the most friendly yet capable security personnel I've ever encountered, we were blown away by the amazing decor and unique twist on the traditional "weekend night out." If I wasn't currently in a taxi on my way home (drinks are deliciously made and reasonably priced so leave the car at home) I would still be enjoying myself at the Uptowns Bar. Untill next weekend, see you later!

came here a week ago with a few mates for the first time and can’t deny how sick this bar is. Bartenders were some of the most upbeat and energetic people i’ve come across and super friendly, music was elite and the whole atmosphere of the joint was awesome for a little place, will be returning here asap, good things do come in small packages huh. keep it up guys ❤️

We happened upon this place by accident after being drawn up the road by the fluorescent neon colours emanating from the building. We were surprised and shocked to find a wicked little 90’s themed bar with retro sneakers, old school basketball cards and retro gaming consoles. The staff greeted us with a friendly smile and looked to enjoying their jobs which always a good sign.

Really fun and vibey bar. It is very photogenic, and the addition of the old Nintendo consoles and games is a great way to keep occupied whilst you sip your drink. They also have a DJ some nights, so I can really recommend this place if you want a more chill setting.

Best fun!!! Totally aimed at 80's, 90's babies with the 80s paraphernalia, basketball theme and awesome old school gaming consoles! We had a ball drinking cocktails and playing Mario kart! Exceptional friendly customer service!

We walked in off the street on a whim when feeling thirsty. Had a couple of good strength mixed drinks and were stoked at the old Nintendo games available to play for free!!!! The decor is very 90s with sneakers on display along with plenty of other memorabilia to make us feel old. But not old enough to leave quickly! We'll be back for sure.

This place is awesome! Funky lil bar in the heart of Newcastle. They have old gaming consoles almost at every table to sit at and play while you enjoy a cold beer and some snacks. Also if you are a basketball fan, you will love this place.

As you head down the stairs, you descend into a realm of 90s nostalgia with air Jordan’s on display, walls covered in VHS cassettes or basketball cards and computer game systems that are free to play. It was a nice joint to have couple of drinks whilst out on the town in Newcastle
